Our Story
The Lindsborg Veterinarian clinic was initially established in 1980 by Dr. Jim Gammell. Drs. Byron and Nicole Bachman acquired the clinic when Dr. Gammell retired in 2000. We currently have 4 full time staff members - Dr. Byron Bachman, Dr. Mollie Lusk, Liz and Jessie. Here at Lindsborg Veterinary Medical Hospital, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, quality, modern medicine. |
Drs. Byron and Nicole Bachman
As a lifelong Kansas resident, I have always enjoyed the people of our great state. I was born and raised on a small farm and ranch near Derby, KS. Throughout my younger years I enjoyed life in rural Kansas. Much of my time was spent helping my father at home taking care of our cattle and other farm animals. Several weeks each year would also involve helping family in Ellsworth County on another farm and ranch operation. After graduation from Derby High School in 1992, I attended Kansas State University where my passion for animals led to pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. I met my wife, Nicole, in veterinary school and we were married in 1997. After graduating with my DVM in 2000, we moved to Lindsborg and purchased the veterinary clinic from retiring veterinarian, Dr. James Gammell. I continue to work as both a small and large animal veterinarian within the practice, while Nicole now works full time homeschooling our eight children. Our hobbies include about everything the great outdoors has to offer, as well as helping out on our own family’s ranch. Dr. Mollie Lusk
I grew up in Kansas City. I went to a community college for a year then spent two years at the University of Kansas. I graduated from KU with a degree in Biology in 1996. I spent a nontraditional semester in Arizona at the Biosphere2 complex in the fall of 1996 through Columbia University. I moved to Hutchinson and got married just before I started vet school at K-State in 1998. I graduated from K-State with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2002. I worked in Hutchinson and Wichita before joining Lindsborg Veterinary Medical Hospital full time in August of 2015. I have two children, my daughter Mercury and my son Race. We have two dogs: Kaiser (a Labrador Retriever) and Coconut (a mostly Husky diva). We also have five cats: Boris, Natasha, Solo, (Blind) Melon, and Triad. In my spare time, I enjoy running. I have competed in several obstacle races. I also enjoy SCUBA diving. My husband, Gavin, enjoys racing his 1969 Cougar that he has restored on his own. My kids are active in sports (soccer, basketball, dance, dodge ball, and baseball). Liz
I have twenty five plus years in animal health care. I live in Falun, a small farming community with my husband Dennis, 11 felines, and 3 darling hens (known as "The Girls"). Out of our 11 felines, 3 live indoors helping keep our every day schedules as close to theirs as possible. Baby Kitty, our oldest, rules over everyone and everything. Binx, aka "The Boy", is always in a playful ornery mood. We never know what to expect! Ebby Kitty, the baby, is our little gentle soul who loves to share her toys with anyone willing to sit and play with her. Jessie
I live in Marquette with my husband, Brian. We have a dog, a Snorkie (miniature Schnauzer/Yorkie mix), named Oscar and two cats, Abby and Toby. I graduated from Smoky Valley High School in 2010, attented Barton CC for two years, and then graduated Brown Mackie in 2014 with an Associate degree of Veterinary Technology. In my spare time, I enjoy sending time with family and going camping. |
